Once I have considered the information you give me, I will suggest a 5-8 card spread which seems appropriate. If it sounds good to you, we can then proceed with the reading. The reason I do this is to help frame your questions in a way which fits with my ethical approach to Tarot. It goes without saying that I hope no-one asking me for a bespoke reading would be wishing for some kind of quick fix or answers to questions like:
- when will [person] die?
- is he/she The One?
- what should I/someone close to me do about a legal issue?
- what is my/someone else’s medical problem and what treatment should be sought?
- should I/someone close to me run off with the milkman/have a baby/jack in the day job to become a deep sea diver?, etc., etc.
For some of these kinds of question you need a medical, financial, or legal advisor. Others involve prying into others’ affairs, or mind reading, sometimes with an undercurrent of wishing to control another person. That’s really, really not my thing.
As I’ve said elsewhere on this site, it’s all about you. Not the milkman.
